Our Story

Atkins Farm is located in Meadows, 50 minutes from Adelaide. The Atkins family started farming in the picturesque Adelaide Hills in the 1920’s when Hastings ‘Bill’ Atkins purchased “Yarrowee.”

Bill farmed the land until the age of 97 and over the years the farm has been a dairy, potato farm and sheep farm. Atkins Farm as it is known today is owned and managed by the next generation of the family. They have reinvigorated the farm, bringing warmth and charm to this country property.

In early 2022 Atkins Farm opened for the first time to welcome guests to pick their own sunflowers in the midst of the global pandemic. Atkins Farm now welcomes visitors every summer for sunflower season.
